Operations in the West Bank
Israeli operations continue in the West Bank with raids and arrests on 25 August 2026. Broader Regional Conflict with Iran
A separate US-Israel military operation against Iran ran from 28 February to 8 April 2026 and has since evolved into a stalemate centered on control of the Strait of Hormuz. [3] Six months into the U.S.-Iran war the conflict has hardened into a stalemate that could last well into 2027, with energy markets held hostage and neither side willing or able to back down. Israeli leaders have used religious language in justifying military actions.
