Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported positive developments near Lyman in Donetsk Oblast while cautioning that the operation is not yet complete, as Ukrainian forces continue to repel over 200 Russian attacks daily across multiple fronts including Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka in current wars in the world.
Zelenskyy Reports Progress Near Lyman
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has thanked Ukrainian defence forces and reported positive developments towards the city of Lyman in Donetsk Oblast. [1] Zelenskyy stated during an online Q&A session with press that he would speak very carefully until the operation is complete. [1] He added that he wants to thank the soldiers because there is positive news there in the direction of Lyman and beyond. [1] Zelenskyy noted that the next strategic task should be accomplished first before discussing the one after that. [1] On 15 September the 3rd Army Corps reported mopping up 75 sq km and liberating a further 10 sq km as part of counteroffensive operations in the northern part of Donetsk Oblast. [1] On 20 September the 3rd Army Corps liberated the villages of Shandryholove and Derylove in Donetsk Oblast and established full control over Drobysheve as part of its Vivaldi offensive operation. A total of 236 combat clashes have occurred on the battlefield over the past day with the Russians most actively attacking on the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka fronts where Ukrainian defenders repelled over 50 Russian assaults. Russian Assaults on Specific Fronts
On the North Slobozhanshchyna front and in the operational zone in Russia's Kursk Oblast Ukrainian defenders repelled six Russian assaults towards the settlements of Mala Slobidka Bila Bereza Korenok Rivne and Kindrativka. [3] On the South Slobozhanshchyna front Ukrainian forces repelled nine Russian attacks near the settlements of Izbytske Rybalchyne Lyman Mala Vovcha and Ternova. [3] On the Kupiansk front the Russians conducted four attacks near the settlements of Podoly Kivsharivka and Novoosynove. Civilian Impact of Recent Attacks

Attacks over the past two days have caused civilian casualties and damaged civilian infrastructure across Ukraine. [5] According to local authorities at least 31 civilians were killed and more than 150 injured during the last two days. [5] In the capital Kyiv attacks damaged homes health facilities petrol stations businesses a market a university and a warehouse. [5] Civilian casualties were also reported in the regions of Kharkiv Sumy Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro. [5] In the Kharkiv region an attack on a farm reportedly killed two people and injured 12 others. [5] Yesterday in the Donetsk region two drones struck a warehouse belonging to the NGO Angels of Salvation killing one volunteer and injuring another while an office of the NGO Proliska was hit and destroyed. Nuclear Safety Concerns at Zaporizhzhya
The Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant has adjusted the operating strategy for its emergency diesel generators as diesel fuel supplies at the site continue to decline. [4] Currently the plant is receiving off-site power through its sole remaining power line the 330 kilovolt Ferosplavna-1 line. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided details on the 236 combat clashes with no evidence of any offensive Russian groups being formed in the Volyn and Polissia fronts area.
