Landowners will defend their land against anyone who enters. You have been warned. Beware." Latest Israeli Raids and UN Call for Cessation of Aggression
Syrian state media reported that Israeli forces carried out new raids in Daraa and Quneitra on Monday. [1] The operations included storming civilian homes and abducting one resident of the village of Taranja. [1] A day earlier Israeli soldiers entered Ma'ariya and Al-Aarda where they searched homes and set up checkpoints. [1] Most of Ma'ariya was left without power after the soldiers destroyed an electrical transformer in the centre of the village. [1] The latest incursions followed UN chief Antonio Guterres's first visit to Syria. [1] During the visit Guterres called for an end to Israel's aggression. [1] "Violations of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity are unacceptable and must cease," he said in Damascus on Saturday. [1] "What is happening in the region around the Golan Heights is totally unacceptable." [1]
Sudanese Army Reopens Strategic Supply Route Near El-Obeid

[5] The Sudanese Armed Forces and allied units seized the towns of Bara, Jabra al-Sheikh, Umm Sayala and Umm Qarfa on Sunday in well-planned military operations and fierce battles. [5] The Centre for Information Resilience confirmed that Sudanese army forces were present in Bara, Umm Qarfa and Jabra al-Sheikh following the advance. [5] According to Nohad Eltayeb, Senior Research Assistant at ACLED, retaking the towns marks a turning point in the conflict by reopening a major road linking El-Obeid with Omdurman. [5] Eltayeb described the capture as a highly significant development that provides a far more efficient supply line than the previous route through White Nile State. [5] El-Obeid had been under a partial RSF siege and relied on a single supply corridor through neighbouring White Nile State that had repeatedly come under drone attack. [5] The road to Omdurman had remained under RSF control since the outbreak of the war. [5] The newly secured corridor strengthens the army's ability to break the siege on the region east of El-Obeid and hold the city against a renewed RSF assault. [5] The advance also positions the SAF to push west toward West Kordofan, pressuring the RSF to retreat to Darfur. [5] The Sudanese military said the RSF suffered heavy losses during the offensive, claiming 73 armoured vehicles were destroyed. OCHA is deeply alarmed by the escalation of violence across the West Bank in recent days. [2] Since Thursday at least eight Palestinians including one child as well as two Israelis have been killed. [2] Many others have been injured. [2] Homes, mosques, trees and agriculture structures have been set on fire or otherwise vandalized and in some cases destroyed. [2] At least 10 Palestinian families have been displaced in the course of the latest violence. [2] Israeli forces have tightened their restrictions on Palestinian movements and access across many areas of the West Bank. [2] Since the beginning of this year OCHA has documented more than 1,330 incidents involving Israeli settlers that resulted in casualties, property damage or both. [2] As of Saturday 77 Palestinians including 18 children have been killed by Israeli forces or Israeli settlers in 2026. [2] During the same period three Israelis have been killed by Palestinians. [2] In North Kordofan State local sources report that 15 civilians were killed and seven others injured on Friday in an attack south of El Obeid. [2] Across the Darfur region insecurity and intercommunal violence have recently displaced more than 20,000 people. [2] Cholera is also spreading in Sudan with more than 2,000 suspected cases and 170 reported deaths since May mainly in the Kordofan region. [2] This year’s humanitarian appeal for Sudan is about 40 per cent funded with US$1.1 billion received against the nearly $2.9 billion required. [2] The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to expand with rising numbers of cases and deaths. [2] As of 25 July national health authorities had reported 3,200 confirmed Ebola cases across Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, Haut-Uele and Tshopo provinces. [2] More than 100 new confirmed cases have been reported for the second consecutive day. [2] The World Food Programme has provided more than 140,000 hot meals and food to over 23,000 patients, contacts and vulnerable people affected by the outbreak in Ituri, North Kivu and South Kivu provinces. [4] Acting Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator Indrika Ratwatte told the Security Council that civilians in Ukraine continue to be killed and injured as homes, energy and water systems, UN warehouses and humanitarian facilities come under attack.
