Iran Strikes US Assets in Bahrain and Kuwait as US Hits Military Sites for 10th Night

Latest US Strikes on Iran
The US Central Command reported hitting Iranian military command centres, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defence systems. [2] [5] Explosions were reported in Qeshm Island, Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Shiraz and Abdanan. [2] [4] The US Central Command announced that it completed another round of strikes against Iran at 01:00 GMT on Tuesday. [2] This marks the tenth consecutive night of US strikes against Iran. [2] CENTCOM said it hit Iranian military command centres, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites and air defence systems. [2] Explosions were reported on Qeshm Island, the largest island in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as in the port cities of Bandar Abbas and Bandar Lengeh. [2] Explosions were heard in the southwestern city of Shiraz at about 1am local time on Tuesday. [2] A location in the east of the city and another in the west were attacked. [2] Several explosions were reported in the city of Abdanan in Iran’s western Ilam province. Iran's IRGC claimed it destroyed US air defence systems and radar in Bahrain, targeted multiple US military assets including a Patriot system, radar sites, a telecommunications centre and an MQ-9 drone hangar in Kuwait, and caused massive fires on two tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. [2] [4] [5] Bahrain saw the IRGC claim destruction of a US air defence system and radar in Bahrain’s Muharraq area during its latest military operation. [2] The IRGC claimed that a coordinated missile and drone attack destroyed a US Patriot air defence system in Bahrain’s Al-Riffa. [2] In Kuwait the IRGC says it targeted and destroyed several US military assets. [2] The strikes hit a long-range radar site, a telecommunications centre, satellite receiving systems and a missile defence radar of the US military in Kuwait. [2] The group also claimed to have struck an MQ-9 drone hangar at the Ali Al Salem airbase, destroying or severely damaging several unmanned aircraft. [2] Iran attacked a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz early Tuesday, forcing its crew to abandon the ship. [4] [5] The IRGC said massive fires had broken out on two oil tankers that attempted to pass through the unsafe southern route in the Strait of Hormuz following an explosion. [4] [5] The Houthis said they would block shipping between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden by targeting the Bab al-Mandeb in response to an attack on Sanaa International Airport last week that they blamed on Saudi Arabia. Casualties and Economic Impact
Nearly 100 US service members have been injured since strikes restarted on July 7, mostly with minor concussions, while Iranian authorities report at least 50 killed and 517 wounded in US strikes; the US has also reported soldier deaths in related incidents in Jordan and Iraq. [4] [5] The Pentagon’s chief spokesperson claims that nearly 100 U.S. service members have been injured since the US restarted strikes on 7 July, and 96% of them have returned to duty. [4] [5] The vast majority of injuries experienced were minor concussions.
