US Strikes Hit Iranian Military Targets
A US attack targeted the northwestern Iranian province of Zanjan early Thursday, killing three members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. [2] US strikes targeted strategic locations including Qeshm Island, Kish Island, Bushehr province, and four sites in Khuzestan province, with one family of three killed on Qeshm Island. [4] Media reports indicated that a residential building on Qeshm Island was hit, resulting in the deaths of a husband, wife, and their two-year-old child. [4] Explosions were also reported on Kish Island and in Bushehr province, where US strikes hit areas around the cities of Bushehr, Jam, and Khormoj. [4] The United Nations assessed the latest escalation as not a positive development and called on all parties to cease combat and revive diplomatic channels.
