Four Palestinians Killed by Settlers in West Bank Violence Near Nablus
The Israel conflict has seen renewed deadly clashes in the occupied West Bank, where Israeli settlers killed four Palestinians in the village of Tel near Nablus. Settler Attack in Tel Village
A group of armed settlers killed four Palestinians in the village of Tel near Nablus on Friday. [4] During the confrontation a Palestinian seized a weapon from one of the settlers and opened fire, killing two of the settlers. [4] The incident formed part of a broader pattern of violence that Israeli rights groups described as escalating across the West Bank, including the torching and destruction of Palestinian property and the forced expulsion of families and communities. [5] Rights groups stated that these attacks have been met with silence and inaction from much of the international community, allowing the violence to continue and intensify. [5]
Israeli Military Response
An Israeli army investigation found that the settlers had entered an off-limits area. [4] Despite this finding, the Israeli government ordered the army to demolish the home of the Palestinian accused of killing the two settlers. [4] The military said it was conducting an operation in Nablus to arrest dozens of Palestinians who participated in the incident. [5] Israeli soldiers detained two Palestinians at the Nablus Specialized Hospital due to their alleged participation in the shooting in the village of Tel. [4]

Calls for International Intervention
Israeli rights groups including B’Tselem, Rabbis for Human Rights and the Palestinian-run Adalah called on the international community to intervene to prevent a “pogrom” in the occupied West Bank. [4] The organisations said immediate pressure must be placed on Israel to stop further attacks, prevent “pogroms” and uphold international law. [5] They noted that in recent days violence by settler militias, enabled and supported by the Israeli army, has escalated across the West Bank. [5] The groups urged action to prevent further deaths after the killings in Tel. [4]

The European Union expressed deep concern over the escalation of violence in the occupied West Bank. [1] The European Union urged all parties to avoid inflammatory language, contribute to de-escalation, and put an end to the vicious cycle of violence. [1]

Medical and Humanitarian Alarm
Doctors Without Borders stated it is deeply alarmed by Israeli violence in the West Bank. [2] An MSF official said these violent incidents in Nablus are not isolated and sit within a wider pattern of Israeli raids and state-sponsored settler violence. [2]
Palestinian Leadership Condemnation
The Palestinian presidency condemned attacks by Israeli occupiers across the West Bank and held the Israeli government responsible for what it calls occupiers’ “terrorism.” [3] The presidency warned that the occupied territory is being pushed toward an “explosion” and urged international action.
