Ukraine War: 82% of Ukrainians Believe Their Country Will Win
Russia has already met its annual production targets for Zircon and Oniks missiles as of early August and is exceeding monthly targets for several other missile types, according to Ukrainian military intelligence. This comes amid the ongoing Ukraine war, where public sentiment in Ukraine remains strongly optimistic about the outcome.
Ukrainian Public Confidence in Victory
More than 80% of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine will emerge victorious from the war against Russia. [1] A survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology between 16 and 31 July 2026 found that the absolute majority of Ukrainians – 82% – believe that Ukraine will ultimately win the war. [1] Of those, 59% are completely convinced of this outcome, while the remaining 23% rather think that Ukraine will win. [1] Only 3% think that Russia will win, and another 16% could not decide on their opinion. [1] In February 2024, according to the results of a KIIS survey, 89% believed in victory, and of those, 60% believed completely. [1] The survey was conducted using a mixed methodology: half of the respondents were interviewed by telephone using computer-assisted interviews, while the other half were interviewed in person using tablets. [1] A total of 1,808 interviews were conducted as part of the study. [1] Of these, 905 were telephone interviews, including 305 with people currently living in Kyiv, and 903 were face-to-face interviews, including 302 with people currently living in Kyiv. [1]
Russian Missile Production Exceeding Targets
Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, has said Russia is increasing missile production for strikes against Ukraine, with output for the main types of Russian missiles reaching 110-120% of monthly targets. [2] Overall, for the main types of missile weapons, their monthly production is currently running at 110-120% of the target. [2] According to data from Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the July production target for Kh-101 missiles was 140% fulfilled, for Kalibr missiles 111% and for Kh-35 cruise missiles 200%. [2] Skibitskyi noted that DIU has documentary evidence of Russia's missile production targets and their actual output. [2] For example, with regard to systems such as Zircon and Oniks, as of 3 August, the enemy had already met the annual production target set for them under the state defence procurement programme. Missile Launch Statistics for 2026
According to estimates by DIU, the number of Kh-101, Kalibr and Kh-32 cruise missiles launched in July was the second highest monthly figure after February. [2] Russia launched 157 such missiles in February and 153 in July. [2] As for ballistic and hypersonic missiles – the 9M723 used by the Iskander-M system, the 48N6DM used by the S-400 and the Zircon – Russia launched 198 of these in July. [2] This is the highest figure recorded this year. [2]

Humanitarian Support for Displaced People in Russia
Since February 2022, many people have fled the hostilities linked to the international armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
